The project

When Sigma approached us to design their exhibition stand at The Photography Show, it wasn’t just about showcasing incredible photography equipment – it was about unveiling a fresh new chapter for their brand.

The key was to strike a balance between minimalist sophistication and clear storytelling, providing a seamless platform for new product launches, a refreshed identity and hands-on engagement. With a brief rooted in understated style and impeccable detail, we designed a space that felt effortlessly luxurious.

A platform for a new chapter

Sigma were at a pivotal brand moment, using this exhibition to softly introduce the rebrand whilst also launching new products to an audience who just love detail.
Our design team created an environment that resonated perfectly with Sigma’s long-standing values of quality and precision, while leaving room for evolution.

Simplicity was key, but so was character – with architectural contrast that paid homage to Japanese design influence.

Brief to brilliance

We began with a creative conversation and turned it into bold concept sketches. From there, our vision took shape quickly. We blended Japanese gallery aesthetics with a dynamic exhibition layout – complete with striking structures, clean lines and softer tactile features.

An overhead translucent fabric feature provided a sculptural focal point, enhanced with effects lighting to draw attention from across the hall. A printed floor layered in meaningful detail – showcasing the topography of Mt. Fuji, the home of Sigma HQ – and an illuminated halo-lit logo offered instant brand recognition.

Every space was carefully designed, from the gallery wall showcasing high-quality prints, to interactive play tables, a raised photographer’s platform and integrated storage and sales areas.

Designed for detail

Modular and sustainable at its core, the stand used tension-fabric wherever possible – creating a crisp white finish. We contrasted these with solid materials for counters and tactile surfaces, keeping them clean and professional, with every texture reinforcing the high-end feel.

Despite the complexity, the installation was smooth and seamless, thanks to our planning, precision and in-house build expertise. The structure was cool, confident and cleverly crafted to flow – creating a journey that guided visitors from product discovery through to engagement and purchase.

Bringing a new look to life

From the first pencil sketch to final light fitting, Sigma’s exhibition stand delivered beyond expectation. By leaning into bold simplicity and purpose-driven design, we created a space that told a visual story, supported product engagement and perfectly bridged the gap between their historic identity and what’s coming next.

This wasn’t just a stand. It was a clear statement of bold branding.
